Killing Joke/MMXII/Spinefarm Records/2012 CD Review

Killing  Joke  are  a  band  from  England  that  has  a  very  long  history  and  are  one  of  the  originators of  industrial  metal  and this  is  a  review  of  their  2012  album  "MMXII"  which  was  released  by  Spinefarm  Records.

Drums  range  from  slow, mid  paced,  to  fast  playing  with  no  fast  drumming  being  present  on  this  recording,  while  the  programming  brings  in  elements  of  industrial  to  the  music,  as  for  the  bass  playing  it  has  a  very  dark  toe  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing  that  are  coming  out  of  the  guitars.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  riffs  that  combine  industrial,  metal  and  dark  alternative  together  to  create  a  sound of  their  with  a  good  amount  of  melody  being  thrown  into  the  riffing  and  there  are  no  guitar  solos  or  leads  present on  this  recording.

Vocals  range  from c lean  singing  to  harsh  sounding  industrial  vocals,  while  the  lyrics  cover  political  and  metaphysical  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  strong,  powerful,  heavy  and  professional  sound  to  it.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Killing  Joke  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  band,  you  should  enjoy  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Fema  Camp"  "Corporate  Elect"  "Glitch"  and  "On  All  Hallow's  Eve".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
